Molecular Spectroscopy

Our primary tool in understanding molecular processes resides in the use of light as a means of probing the properties of molecules. Molecular spectroscopy has a storied history in our Department, and had built upon this history with efforts at the leading edge of spectroscopic research. Whether it involves using new tools for the elucidation of chemical processes at ultracold temperatures, exploiting new methods to probe the structure of complex molecules, exploring the properties of molecules one at a time, or developing new laser-based probes of chemical species, our Department continues to push the limits of spectroscopy.
