Abstract

Sulfur K-edge XAS is used in the identification and characterization of sulfur based radicals obtained from UV irradiated glutathione. Ground state and time-dependent DFT calculations are used to identify thiyl (RS center dot) and perthiyl (RSS center dot) radical species.
