Go Global

Imagine studying at a university that is more than 500 years old, or where fundamental breakthroughs in chemistry were made. Through the Go Global office, UBC offers a range of opportunities for undergraduate students to have an international learning experience as part of their program. Through partnerships with over 200 universities, students can pursue exchange studies whereby courses taken at international universities count for credit towards UBC programs. There are also summer research and course study opportunities for students who don't want to interrupt their winter session course load. In addition to exposure to different ways of learning, a Go Global experience allows students to live in and immerse themselves in the culture of another country.

Go Global and Chemistry Programs

Chemistry programs are compatible with Go Global exchanges with third year being the optimal time for a winter session study abroad experience. The breadth of choice with Go Global can be a bit daunting but help is available. The table below lists highly-ranked Chemistry departments that students may wish to consider for exchange experiences. Most importantly though, the Department has experience helping students tailor Go Global programs.

Students considering exchange opportunities are strongly encouraged to contact the Chemistry Undergraduate Advisor during Term 1 of second year. This provides time to determine when it would make most sense to go on exchange and what credits you should fulfill abroad.
