| Abstract | (HL)(2)ZnBr4 and (HL)(2)ZnCl4 were prepared by the addition of HBr or HCl into a CH3CN solution of Zn(II)L-2, and their structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The X-ray crystallographic data show super structures that have hydrogen bonds between the tetrahalozinc anions ([ZnX4](2-)) and the protonated dipyrromethene cations. |
