Abstract

In rat peritoneal mass cells induced by anti-immunoglobulin E (anti-IgE), contignasterol (1) inhibited histamine release in a dose-dependent manner. On the other hand, a reduction product of contignasterol (2) did not inhibit histamine release from mast cells induced by anti-IgE.
