  1. Introduction: mass spectrometry and life sciences applications
  2. MALDI and electrospray ion sources
  3. Mass analyzers: quadrupole mass filters, quadrupole ion traps, time-of-flight, ion cyclotron resonance, Orbitraps
  4. MS applications: protein folding, reaction kinetics, non-covalent (macromolecular) complexes, tissue profiling, tissue imaging
  5. Tandem mass spectrometry:  fragmentation approaches, fragmentation on different mass analyzers
  6. Tandem mass spectrometers:  triple quadrupoles, quadrupole ion traps, Q-TOFs, TOF-TOFs
  7. MS/MS applications:  peptide sequencing, post-translational modifications, protein cross-linking, drug/metabolite analysis, stable isotope labeling
