Abstract

Mononuclear Pd(II), and dinuclear Pd(O) and Pd(I) complexes containing bis(diphenylphosphino)methane catalyze the addition of trichlorosilane to the olefinic bond of hexene-1, styrene and vinyltrichlorosilane. Activity relationships for limited data at 80 and 120-degrees-C suggest that in each case mononuclear Pd(O) species might act as a catalyst precursor.
