Abstract

Two further polymorphic forms (alpha = P2(1) and gamma = P2(1)/c) of the title compound (C21H17ClO4) have been obtained and their crystal structures determined. The molecular geometries and photochemical behaviour are very similar to those of the previously described beta-form reported in the P2(1)/c space group [Chen, PoMtuluri, Scheffer & Trotter (1993). Acta Cryst. B49, 905-909].
