Profile

Research and Teaching Interests

Our group is focused on the design and discovery of new quantum materials using a broad range of crystal growth techniques, including metallic flux, vapour transport, high-pressure synthesis, and floating zone growth. We are particularly interested in establishing structure-function relationships in quantum materials via characterization of their structural, magnetic, and electronic behaviours in order to facilitate the targeted design of materials with novel or useful properties. This research is performed in our state-of-the-art crystal growth laboratories at SBQMI as well as international neutron scattering and muon spin relaxation user facilities.
