Graduate Student Travel Award

There are two application deadlines each year for the Chemistry Symposium Legacy Trust Fund:

  • March 15 for conferences to be held prior to October 15 of the same year
  • October 15 for conferences to be held prior to March 15 of the following year

The fund is available one time to assist a graduate student to travel to a conference to present his/her work. Both oral and poster presentations are acceptable. The award amount is $250.

Please note that this award (as well as any similar award that you may receive in a separate application from Graduate Studies) are made to individuals. In many cases conference expenses must be reconciled against University accounts and thus pooling of expenses with other students (e.g. one student pays the accommodation, another the dining expenses etc. for a group) is not an acceptable practice.
