Abstract:
By bridging discovery chemistry with manufacturing execution, this talk highlights how sustainability-driven innovation can deliver both scientific impact and industrial advantage in pharmaceutical field. Through selected case studies in building blocks and API synthesis, we will examine how enabling technologies—particularly flow chemistry—enhance reaction control, safety, scalability, while accelerating development timelines and strengthening long-term supply chain sustainability. I will also share perspectives from working across discovery and process development in pharmaceutical and CDMO organizations for students considering careers in the industry.
