Join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Neil Bartlett's textbook-changing discovery, made on March 23, 1962 in the Chemistry Department at UBC.
Bartlett created the first noble gas compound using Xenon, effectively disproving the belief that noble gases were inert.
The Bartlett Symposium takes place in Chemistry Room B250 on Friday, March 23 from 4:30pm onwards (sign-in begins at 4:15) featuring a number of fantastic guest speakers, followed by a reception (location TBD) from 6:30-9:00pm.
